Q: How do I play NeXT Rewards?
A: Playing is super fun, easy and rewarding. Start by following some games each day that games are available. In each of those games you will receive up to 10 Pivotal Moment notifications to play and earn. Once you receive a Pivotal Moment notification open it and read the “Game Situation” information that we send you at the top of the page. That will give you all of the info you need to make your guess. Read the “What Happens NeXT?” question that is just below the countdown clock and then click the answer button that you want to choose. Once that’s done, sit back and relax. We’ll let you know your outcome once it happens in the game.
Q: I’m not getting any notifications, why?
A: There could be a few reasons for this, 1) you did not select any games to follow for that day. You need to select games to follow before we send you notifications to play; 2) you may have disallowed notifications for the NeXT Rewards app. To change this, go to your phone’s settings, scroll down until you find NeXT Rewards, open the account, and turn on notifications; 3) your device may have "Do Not Disturb" scheduled or turned on. If this is the case you will not receive notifications. To change this look in your phones settings under "Do Not Disturb" or "Focus"; 4) you may be experiencing a weak WiFi or cellular signal when following a game. If this is the case then we may not be able to send you the notifications for the Pivotal Moments. To avoid this common issue please ensure that your WiFi or cellular signal is strong where you are playing.
Q: My drop down notification disappears too quickly. What can I do?
A: If this is happening then go to your phone’s settings, scroll down until you find NeXT Rewards, open the account, open notification, and change banner style from Temporary to Persistent. Once done the notifications for NeXT Rewards won’t disappear until you swipe them away.
Q: What is a bonus code?
A: A bonus code is a code that can be available from various sources for you to use during sign up that offers points’ as a reward for completing the“sign up” process. You do not need to have a bonus code to complete the “signup” process.
Q: What is a bonus code worth?
A: All bonus codes are worth various point values. These points are deposited to your NeXT Rewards points account immediately following the completion of your sign up.
Q: Why should I enable location?
A: We really recommend that you enable location so that we can send you the best offers based on where you are, when you play. Enabling location will maximize your experience!
Q: Why do I have to select games to follow and play?
A: We only want you to play NeXT when you want too. To make sure this happens we need you to choose to follow games so we know that you want to play.
Q: How many games can I select to follow and play each day?
A: You can follow up to 4 games each day per active league. We encourage you to follow all 4 games so you can play, win and maximize the quantity of points you have a chance to win.
Q: Why can I only select 4 games to follow and play each day?
A: Each time you follow a game we will send you up to 10 Pivotal Moments for you to guess the outcome of. We don’t want to send you too many on any given day. Later we may give you the ability to increase how much you play to cater to your exact needs.
Q: How do I select games to follow?
A: From the home page you click the “Select Games” button and choose the games you want to follow by clicking the follow button beside the games you want.
Q: How do I select games to follow on other dates in the future?
A: On the “Select Games” page you have the option to click on the calendar and select other dates to follow games on. To make it super easy for you future dates that have games available will be underlined for easy selection. Just click an underlined date, go and choose the games you want to follow.
Q: How do I use the calendar on the select games page?
A: Once you are on the “Select Games” page just click on the date at the top of the page. That will open up the current month’s calendar. From there you can choose any date in the month or you can click the side arrows to scroll to other months with a selection of games. Remember that we underline all of the dates in every month that have games available for you to follow.
Q: Why are some dates underlined and others greyed out in the calendar?
A: To make super easy for you we underline every date in a month that has games available for you to follow. If there is no game on a day then that date is greyed out and does not open if you click it.
Q: Can I select a game to follow after the game has started?
A: Yes, we want you to be able to play NeXT any time you want. We always show you an estimate of how many Pivotal Moments are available in that game so you know what to expect after to click the “Follow” button.
Q: Can I unfollow a game?
A: Yes you can! Just click the “Unfollow” button beside the game that you want to unfollow either on the “Select games” page or from the “Today’s Lineup” menu on your home page.
Q: Can I unfollow a game after it has started?
A: Yes you can! If you unfollow a game after it has started then you will not be able to fallow a new game on that same day to replace it. If you want to change games on a day then make sure you unfollow the game you do not want before it starts.
Q: Can I select games to follow in multiple leagues on the same date?
A: Yes you can! When there are multiple leagues available to play at the same time you can choose to play games from each league if you want.
Q: How many games can I select to follow in each different league available on the same date?
A: When there are multiple leagues available to play at the same time you can choose to play games from each league if you want up to a maximum total of 4 games per active league. Later we may give you the ability to increase how may games you can follow to cater to your exact needs.
Q: How do I change leagues?
A: Open the “Select Games” page. If there are multiple leagues available they will be listed at the top of the page below the date. When there are multiple leagues available you can left / right scroll to see them. To change leagues click on the league you want at all of its information will load for you.
Q: What is a Pivotal Moment?
A: A Pivotal Moment is a real-time live event that has an unknown outcome that occurs during the game (e.g. a penalty shot, field goal, home run, corner kick).
Q: How do the Pivotal Moments get generated?
A: The platform is powered by a proprietary Data Exchange Decision Engine that monitors millions of bits of real-time sport data from live games and identifies through an algorithm, Pivotal Moments in the game. We call the algorithm DeDe!
Q: How many Pivotal Moments are available in a game?
A: There are up to 10 Pivotal Moments generated in each game.
Q: How much time do I have to play a Pivotal Moment?
A: You have a total 30 seconds to make your guess. There is a timer to help keep you in the know. Caution though, that 30 seconds starts the moment that we send you the Pivotal Moment notification so by the time you open it there maybe less than 30 seconds on the clock. Open up your Pivotal Moments as fast as you can so you maximize the amount of time you have to make your guess.

A: If you have allowed notifications then the app does not need to be open to play NeXT. We will send you notifications whenever there are Pivotal Moments in a game that you have followed. Just click the notification and we will take you to the play page in the app. If you did not allow notification then yes the app needs to be open to play. When the app is open you will receive a pop-up each time there is a Pivotal Moment in a game that you have followed. Click the pop-up and we will take you to play page in the app.
Q: How do I play if I’m in the app?
A: If you have the app open and a Pivotal Moment happens in one of the games that you are following then you can do 1 of three things: 1) if you are anywhere in the app you can click on the pop-up to go directly to the “Play” page to make your guess; 2) if you are anywhere in the app then you can click the “Play” icon in the bottom nav bar to go to the “Play” page and make your guess; 3) If you are on the “Home” page then you can click the “Play Now” button to go to the “Play” page and make your guess.
Q: What happens when I get the Pivotal Moment right?
A: When you guess the outcome of a Pivotal Moment correctly you earn some NeXT Rewards Points.
Q: What happens when I get the Pivotal Moment wrong?
A: When you guess the outcome of a Pivotal Moment incorrectly then you simply don’t earn any points at that time. There is no cost at all for guessing wrong. We encourage you to play all of the Pivotal Moments for a chance to get them right and earn lots of points.
Q: Can I double check my answers?
A: After you make your guess we show you a pending page that confirms the question and your chosen answer.
Q: What happens if I don’t make my guess before the clock runs out?
A: There is no cost when this happens. We let you know that the timer has expired and encourage you to play the next Pivotal Moment. It’s always best to make your guess as quickly as possible to make sure you have enough time.
Q: How much is a NeXT Rewards Point worth?
A: A NeXT Rewards point is worth 1 penny ($0.01) in the currency from the country that you are from.
Q: Do I have to be watching the game to play?
A: You DO NOT need to be watching the game to play. We know that you are busy so we wanted to make sure that you can play NeXT from anywhere, no matter what you are doing. No matter where you are, once you receive a Pivotal Moment notification open it and read the “Game Situation” information that we send you at the top of the page. That will give you all of the info you need to make your guess. Read the “What Happens NeXT?” question that is just below the countdown clock and then click the answer button that you want to choose. Once that’s done, sit back and relax. We’ll let you know your outcome once it happens in the game.
Q: Should I unfollow a game that I can’t watch?
A: That’s up to you. If you do not want to receive the notifications for the Pivotal Moments during the game then choosing to “Unfollow” might be a good idea. If you want to play those Pivotal Moments then keep following the game because you can play from anywhere. You do not need to be watching the game to play.
Q: What happens if I follow a game but don’t play any of the Pivotal Moments?
A: There is NO PENALTY if you choose to not play any of the Pivotal Moments in a game that you followed.
Q: When will you send me notifications?
A: Each day that there are games for you to follow, we send you an update notification to make sure that you are informed so you can choose to play if you want. Once you follow a game we will send you a reminder notification 15 minutes before that game starts and then we will send you a notification for each Pivotal Moment (up to 10) that happens in the game. After the game we send you a notification to remind you to have a look at the offers available to you on the Offers page in the app.
Q: What happens if multiple Pivotal Moments occur at the same time?
A: On the rare occasion that more than one Pivotal Moment occurs at the same time because you are following multiple games then the system will show you the first Pivotal Moment for you to make your guess. Once you’ve made that guess then the next Pivotal Moment will appear for you to make your guess and so on. IMPORTANT – The countdown clock for each Pivotal Moment is NOT stopped or slowed down when this happens so make your guesses fast so that the timer does not run out of time before you have a chance to guess on the other PMs. The faster you guess the more time you will have for the other PMs Happening at the same time.

Q: How many points can I win in each game that I follow?
A: There are up to 10 Pivotal Moments in each game and you win 20 NeXT Rewards Points for each correct guess. That means you could win up to 200 points per game you follow. There may be special bonus points as well. Play often to see.
Q: Why can’t I change my answer to a Pivotal Moment?
A: The system does not allow you to change your answer to any Pivotal Moment. Once you have made your choice its final.
Q: Do my points expire?
A: YES, POINTS EXPIRE! BUT ONLY IF YOUR ACCOUNT SITS IDOL FOR 24 MONTHS. All you need to do is play a Pivotal Moment or redeem for a reward from the NeXT Rewards Catalogue with that 24 month period and your points will remain active.
Q: What can I do with my points?
A: Each time you win you earn 20 NeXT Rewards Points. We keep adding those Points to your NeXT Points account. Once you have won enough points you can go into the NeXT Rewards Catalogue and redeem for some great stuff. PRO TIP: Click on the Rewards Icon in the bottom nav bar and checkout the rewards that are available for you to get.

A: YES you can. Simply follow the game you are going to see live and play as usual.
Q: What happens if my Wi-Fi is down?
A: If Wi-Fi is down or you are in an area with weak to no Wi-Fi then unfortunately, in those instances, you may not be able to play. Because you followed a game we will do our best to send you all of the Pivotal Moments for you to answer.
Q: How do I redeem for a reward?
A: Once you have enough points earned and you decide that it’s time to get a reward then redeeming is easy. Step 1: click the rewards icon in the bottom nav bar; Step 2: Click the “See Rewards Catalogue” button; Step 3: Follow the instructions to select the reward you want; Step 4: click the “Redeem” button and your digital reward will be sent directly to your email inbox or your physical reward will be delivered to your address that we have stored in your file.
Q: How does my redemption get sent to me?
A: We send all digital rewards to you via email and we send all physical rewards directly to you via courier.
Q: How many points does it cost to redeem?
A: Check out the catalogue by clicking on the “Rewards” icon in the bottom nav bar to see how many points you need to collect to be able to redeem HINT:you might be able to redeem for something after following as few as 5 games.
Q: How long do I have to wait to get my reward after I redeem?
A: If you redeem for a digital reward (an Electronic Gift Card) then you should get your reward delivered within 30 minutes. Sometimes it can take up to a few hours depending on volume but we try to get it to you super-fast. If you redeem for a physical reward it can take up to 2 to 8 weeks to get you those. That’s because we have to get it sent to you from our warehouse.
